On Friday, November 21, more than 500 people enjoyed a night of fun and fundraising at The Gala on Fire, an event that benefits children and families served by KVC. The Gala was held at the Historic Firestone Building located in Kansas City, Mo. and offered two floors for party-goers to explore. Guests enjoyed decadent food and drink, a unique auction, performances by MoonDrop Circus, artistic masterpieces created live by Allan Chow and Rebecca Pashia, and danceable music from Atlantic Express.

A record-breaking amount of $210,000 was raised. The proceeds will benefit more than 3,100 children in foster care and their families, plus thousands more children in foster care in other states. KVC cares for more than 50 percent of the children in the Kansas child welfare system and also serves children in need at its Prairie Ridge Psychiatric Hospital in Kansas City, Kan.
