KVC’s Cinco de Mayo Gala Raises Over $356,000 for Children and Families in Crisis
Thank you to everyone who supported this year’s Gala and the children and families served by KVC!
Friday, May 5th was a memorable and spectacular evening as KVC Gala Co-Chairs Kathy Woodward and Margaux Blackwell, Presenting Sponsor Brown & Brown, many generous corporate sponsors, supporters, committee members, partygoers, and volunteers came together at The Abbott to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and raise funds for children and families in crisis. Thanks to a record-breaking live auction run by Ron Stricker and The Nigro Brothers, KVC raised more than $356,000– supporting work to strengthen families and promote mental wellness for children in the community.
Emcees Dia Wall and Kevin Holmes, anchors at 41 KSHB Kansas City, shared about KVC’s mission and got the party started. Auctioneer Ron Stricker’s Auction Company and The Nigro Brothers inspired the crowd to bid generously on packages from exclusive Chiefs seats to a luxury stay in Mexico. Everyone’s favorite cover band Lost Wax kept the energy high as BeeJay from Fine Tooners Caricatures and ShutterBooth KC kept guests entertained all night long. REACTOR Design designed our vibrant event invitations and AC Printing provided the gorgeous and helpful event signage. Randy Neal Floral Design complemented the Cinco de Mayo theme with festive florals and the amazing Karen Watts delivered mouth-watering catering for guests. All proceeds from the night benefited the children and families served by KVC.
If you weren’t able to attend the 2023 Gala, you can still support children and families served by KVC by making a donation.
