More than 500 individuals filled the room for the 4th Annual KVC Hero Luncheon on June 18, 2015. KVC welcomed back 41 Action News Anchor Christa Dubill as emcee at the event for the second year in a row. “Wonder Woman” foster parent Nicole Feltz received a standing ovation after sharing her powerful story of overcoming a troubled childhood to achieve incredible success as a businesswoman and advocate for children. Sports Radio 810 host Nate Bukaty facilitated a lively discussion about sports, kids and heroes with University of Kansas Basketball Coach Bill Self and Kansas City Chiefs President Mark Donovan. He also surprised Self and Donovan with a Jimmy Fallon-esque golf putting competition, which resulted in both winner and loser donating VIP ticket packages to KVC’s Gala coming up on November 21.
A huge THANK YOU to our VIP speakers, our generous sponsors and everyone who attended the luncheon to discover how to help foster families and children in need.
Thanks to the support of so many heroes,
we raised a recording-breaking $110,000!
If you didn’t get a chance to sign up as an Everyday Hero, there’s still time for you to help and we need your support! Visit www.everydayhero.org for more information.
