Bullying Prevention Month

October 1 @ 8:00 am - October 31 @ 5:00 pm

As Bullying Prevention Month, October is an ideal time to focus our collective efforts on reducing bullying for our young people.

Bullying is both a symptom and a cause of loneliness. Bullying has a negative ripple effect beyond the bully and the person on the receiving end. Bullying contributes to a culture of fear for everyone in the community. But the good news is that connection can prevent or bring an end to bullying. Overcoming bullying requires that all of us take action collectively to help instill empathy and ensure youth are safe and have a network of healthy relationships. This October, check out some of our free educational resources!

Resources:

Bullying Prevention: How Connection, Empathy and Action Can Make an Impact: Learn how to spot bullying and how you can overcome it through encouraging connection.

5 Reasons Children Bully and How Parents Can Help: How can you prevent your child from becoming someone who bullies? It’s important to understand what defines a bully and typical reasons children bully.

Find Mental Health Services: Bullying can have a profound impact on mental health. KVC provides a wide range of compassionate, effective mental and behavioral healthcare services that can help your family cope with the effects of bullying.
